Heavy Traffic at Ojota and Ketu Disturbs Motorist - REELXSNEWS

Earlier today, there was a severe traffic at Ojota which also affected ketu and other bus stops before it including Mile 12. The traffic was so heavy that one could spend more than one hour just between ketu and Ojota which is normally a 8 - 15 minutes trip when using vehicle depending on the speed. However, motorists are unsure if this will continue tomorrow and next week looking at the fact that it has been like that for about two days now. Due to this event, if you enter a bus to ketu or from ketu, its either you face the traffic or the driver turns and follow another alternate route depending on your destination. It still remains a shocking fact that all the bus stops after Ojota are not affected by this traffic as at today which means that the road from Ojota is free however, if you are moving from Ojota to ketu, you might still experience traffic.

UNILAG SFS Requests Students Who Lost Their ID Card To Take Action Now

Yesterday, UNILAG School of Foundation Studies (SFS) requested that any Student currently running the JUPEB programme in the school should take immediate action if their Identification Card (ID Card) got missing, stolen or lost.

The students are asked to treat this action urgently due to the fact that if their ID Card is found in a crime scene, they will be located, queried and be put as suspects of the crime even if they were not there.

Seeing that this can put students inside unseen circumstances, the students whose ID Cards got lost are advised to make a police report and inform the SFS.

Requesting For Another ID Card

It is broadly known that you won't be able to write your second incourse exam and other forthcoming exams without your ID-Card so if it gets missing, write a letter to the SFS and pay a sum of NGN1000 through your portal and ensure you attach the letter to your payment.

SFS made it known that the ID Card may / cannot be ready before the examination date which is close therefore, students will be given other options.

ASUU strike: Abia varsity students berates the Federal Government over strike

Agricultural students at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike, Abia State, have chastised the Federal Government for failing to provide a long-term solution to the continuing problem with the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Furthermore, the students expressed concern that the professors' repeated strike activities in order to pound home their demands were decreasing the levels of teaching and learning in the country's public institutions. Chijioke Emmanuel, the Public Relations Officer for the MOUAU Student Union Government, told our reporter that the incident was heartbreaking, and that the reality of the students' persistent industrial activities haunted their thoughts. As he pointed out, students were outraged that strike actions had undoubtedly become a regular feature of the university's academic calendar, to the point where it appears that no session in public universities can be considered complete without at the very least a warning stri...

US Vice President Tests Positive For Covid 19

Despite an increase in infections from the virulent, but far less severe, Omicron version of the coronavirus, the White House has openly acknowledged the chance that Vice President Biden would test positive – while downplaying any possible repercussions. Earlier this month, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield said that "it is entirely conceivable that he would test positive for COVID," but added that "he has been vaccinated, boosted, and protected against the most severe strains of the virus." Vice President Kamala Harris of the United States tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday, although she is asymptomatic and is not deemed a present intimate contact of President Joe Biden, according to the White House. "Vice President Harris showed positive results for Covid-19 on both fast and PCR testing today," the White House said. According to Harris' press secretary, Kirsten Allen, "she has shown no signs of illness, will isolate herse...
